Ziro, September 8, 2025: Chief Minister Pema Khandu, accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein and cabinet colleagues, inaugurated a series of landmark infrastructure projects in Ziro on Monday, aimed at strengthening healthcare, hydro power administration, and civic facilities in the Lower Subansiri district.
The day’s highlights included the inauguration of the Gyati Takka General Hospital, a state-of-the-art healthcare facility named after late minister Gyati Takka in recognition of his decades of dedicated public service. Equipped with modern infrastructure and advanced medical equipment, the hospital is expected to bring quality healthcare closer to the people of Ziro and adjoining areas.
Khandu also inaugurated the Office Building of the Superintending Engineer, Subansiri Basin, Department of Hydro Power Development. The new administrative hub is envisioned to streamline planning, monitoring, and execution of hydro power projects across the Subansiri Basin, benefiting both project teams and local communities.
Later in the day, the Chief Minister laid foundation stones for multiple development projects at the District Secretariat, Ziro, under the Cabinet Aapke Dwar initiative. These include:
• Upgradation of District Headquarters Township Road
• Construction of a new Circuit House at Ziro
• Artificial Grass Turf at PL Outdoor Stadium, Hapoli
• Multi-purpose Convention Hall at Abotani Club, Hapoli
• Multi-layer Parking Zone at Hapoli
• Residential accommodations for government officers and staff
Speaking at the events, Khandu said the projects reflect the government’s commitment to bringing quality infrastructure, better healthcare, and efficient governance to every district. He expressed confidence that these initiatives would significantly improve the quality of life in Ziro while fostering long-term development.

Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein also lauded the efforts, noting that the projects will not only enhance public services but also create opportunities for youth, sports, tourism, and local entrepreneurship.
The series of inaugurations and foundation stone-laying ceremonies comes as part of the state government’s broader mission to ensure inclusive growth and decentralized governance, with Ziro emerging as a key hub in Arunachal Pradesh’s development roadmap.
