Arunachal Cabinet Approves Key Bills, Fire Stations at ‘Aapke Dwar’ Session in Ziro

Ziro, September 8, 2025: The third Cabinet Aapke Dwar session was held in Ziro on Monday, chaired by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, with a series of significant policy and legislative decisions aimed at strengthening governance, institutional capacity, and sustainable development in Arunachal Pradesh.

Highlighting the initiative’s vision, Khandu said Cabinet Aapke Dwar brings the highest decision-making body closer to the people, making governance more inclusive, participatory, and responsive to grassroots aspirations. The session was conducted in a fully paperless mode using the eCabinet Application, ensuring digital access to all documents for ministers and officials.

One of the landmark decisions included the approval of the Draft Arunachal Pradesh Urban & Country Planning (Amendment) Bill, 2025, aimed at strengthening urban planning frameworks, tackling rapid urbanisation, and ensuring sustainable, orderly growth across the state’s 47 notified urban centres.

The Cabinet also cleared the establishment of four new Fire Stations at Mebo, Kimin, Deomali, and Lungla, along with the creation of 68 new posts to enhance emergency response and firefighting capacity across the state.

Apart from these, the meeting also took up proposals on institutional strengthening, cultural promotion, and administrative reforms, reflecting the government’s commitment to balanced growth and improved service delivery.

Khandu emphasized that the decisions taken under Cabinet Aapke Dwar are designed to not only address immediate needs but also lay a foundation for long-term, sustainable governance.
