Ziro, September 8, 2025: The Arunachal Pradesh Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, held its third Cabinet Aapke Dwar session in Ziro on Monday, taking several important policy and legislative decisions aimed at strengthening governance, improving public services and promoting sustainable development across the state.
The meeting brought the state’s highest decision-making body directly to the people, reflecting the government’s commitment to decentralized governance and greater public participation in policymaking. Chief Minister Khandu emphasized that the Cabinet Aapke Dwar initiative is designed to make governance more inclusive, responsive and accessible by allowing the Cabinet to engage with local communities and understand their concerns firsthand.
A notable feature of the session was its fully paperless conduct through the eCabinet Application, which enabled ministers and senior officials to access all agenda documents digitally. The move is part of the government’s broader efforts to embrace digital governance, improve efficiency and reduce the use of paper in official proceedings.
Among the major decisions approved during the session was the Draft Arunachal Pradesh Urban & Country Planning (Amendment) Bill, 2025. The proposed legislation seeks to strengthen urban planning mechanisms and address the challenges arising from rapid urbanisation in the state. Officials said the amendment will help ensure planned and sustainable development across Arunachal Pradesh’s 47 notified urban centres while improving land-use management, infrastructure planning and environmental sustainability.
The Cabinet also approved the establishment of four new Fire Stations at Mebo, Kimin, Deomali and Lungla. To support the functioning of these facilities, the government sanctioned the creation of 68 new posts. The move is expected to significantly enhance firefighting capabilities, disaster preparedness and emergency response services in these areas, thereby improving public safety and reducing response times during emergencies.
In addition to these decisions, the Cabinet deliberated on several proposals related to institutional strengthening, cultural promotion and administrative reforms. These measures are aimed at improving governance structures, preserving the state’s rich cultural heritage and enhancing service delivery to citizens.

Addressing the media after the meeting, Chief Minister Khandu stated that the decisions taken during the Cabinet session were not merely intended to address immediate challenges but were part of a long-term vision for sustainable and people-centric development.
“The essence of Cabinet Aapke Dwar is to bring governance closer to the people and ensure that policies reflect the aspirations and needs of our citizens. The decisions approved today will contribute to stronger institutions, better infrastructure and improved quality of life for the people of Arunachal Pradesh,” he said.
The successful conduct of the third Cabinet Aapke Dwar session in Ziro further reinforced the state government’s commitment to transparent governance, digital innovation and inclusive development, setting the stage for continued progress across Arunachal Pradesh.
