Naharlagun, September 8, 2025: A massive protest broke out in Naharlagun today as family members, well-wishers, and hundreds of citizens demanded justice for the late Bengia Ama (Gora), who allegedly died due to medical negligence.

Protesters carried banners and raised slogans such as “No more medical negligence” and “A mother’s voice deserves justice”, calling for strict action against the doctor and nurses allegedly involved. Family members declared they would not accept the body until justice is delivered.

The demonstration has gained momentum with the AAPSU Women Wing extending full support to the family. The organization vowed to stand with them until accountability is fixed and those responsible are punished.
