Shillong, September 16, 2025: The National People’s Party (NPP) today paid homage to its founder, the late Shri Purno Agitok Sangma, by unveiling his bust at the party headquarters in Shillong. The ceremony was led by NPP National President Conrad K. Sangma, who described the event as a tribute to a visionary leader whose ideals continue to inspire the party’s work.
Conrad Sangma recalled Shri Purno Agitok Sangma’s lifelong commitment to the people of Meghalaya and the wider North East region. “His unwavering commitment laid the foundation of the National People’s Party,” he said.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by party members and supporters who joined in paying respects to the late leader’s contributions and enduring vision for the North East.
