Papum Pare, September 16, 2025: The District Road Safety Committee of Papum Pare today launched its #RoadSafetyAwarenessWeek with a bike rally aimed at promoting safe driving and encouraging traffic responsibility among citizens. The event, held from September 16 to 22, was inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister Shri Ojing Tasing and Chief Secretary Shri Manish Gupta.
The rally marks the beginning of a week-long campaign that includes workshops, community outreach programs, and awareness initiatives. These efforts are designed to educate the public on disciplined and responsible road use, reduce traffic violations, and enhance safety on the roads.

Shri Ojing Tasing emphasized the importance of road safety in saving lives and building a culture of responsibility among motorists. Chief Secretary Shri Manish Gupta called for collective action from government departments, community groups, and individuals to make roads safer for everyone.
The committee has planned interactive sessions and awareness drives throughout the week to reach citizens across the district and instill long-lasting behavioral changes in road usage.
