Manipur’s Koijam Machasana Conferred National Teachers’ Award 2025 by President Murmu

NEW DELHI, September 5, 2025: In a proud moment for Manipur, Koijam Machasana was conferred the prestigious National Teachers' Award 2025 by Droupadi Murmu during a ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan on the occasion of Teachers' Day.

The President honoured 45 outstanding educators from across the country with the National Teachers' Awards, recognising their exceptional dedication, innovation, and significant contributions to the field of education. The annual awards celebrate teachers who have demonstrated excellence in nurturing young minds and improving the quality of education through innovative teaching practices and community engagement.

Among this year's awardees was Koijam Machasana, an Arts Graduate Teacher at Ghari Upper Primary School. Hailing from Keisampat in Imphal, she was recognised for her unwavering commitment to student-centred learning, her efforts to strengthen foundational education, and her contribution to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment for children.

Throughout her teaching career, Machasana has been appreciated for adopting innovative classroom practices that encourage active participation, critical thinking, and holistic development among students.
