Imphal, Sept 9: Governor of Manipur, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, today felicitated Leimapokpam Ranjita Devi, recipient of the prestigious National Florence Nightingale Award 2025, during her visit to Raj Bhavan, Imphal.
Ranjita Devi, who serves as a Nursing Sister at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), was accompanied by Dr. L. Usharani Devi, Director of JNIMS, along with senior officials.
The Governor extended warm congratulations, praising her exemplary dedication and years of selfless service in the field of nursing. He noted that her achievement brings pride not only to JNIMS but also to the state of Manipur.

Instituted by the Government of India, the Florence Nightingale Award is the highest national recognition for nurses, honoring their contribution to healthcare and patient care.
Governor Bhalla expressed confidence that Ranjita Devi’s recognition will inspire other healthcare professionals in Manipur to continue their tireless service to society with compassion and commitment.
