Imphal, August 11, 2025: Security forces in Manipur continue intensified search operations and area domination across fringe and vulnerable areas in multiple districts. A total of 111 Nakas/Checkpoints were set up in both hill and valley districts, leading to the detention of 11 persons by police.
On August 11, security forces arrested Mayengbam Amitab Singh @ Khaba (32), an active cadre of the banned outfit KCP (PWG), from Tekcham Maning Ching under Khongjom Police Station, Thoubal district. He was allegedly involved in a firing incident targeting CDO personnel and in issuing threats to NIT Imphal staff. Seized from his possession were:
• 1 (.32) pistol with magazine
• 50 live rounds of various calibres
• 4 INSAS magazines
• 2 mobile phones with 2 SIM cards
On August 10, Huidrom Suder Singh @ Sanathoi @ Salai (39), an active cadre of KCP (Noyon), was arrested from Khurai Chaithabi Leirak under Porompat Police Station, Imphal East district. He was allegedly involved in extortion in the Khabeisoi area to raise funds for the banned organisation. Two mobile phones were recovered from him.

On August 11, security forces also arrested Wakambam Sunilkanta Meitei (25), an active cadre of KCP (Apunba City Meitei), from his residence in Pungdongbam Awang Leikai.
Authorities stated that such operations will continue to curb militant activities and ensure peace across the state.
