Itanagar, Aug 6, 2025: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has called upon government employees to view their responsibilities as a commitment to public service rather than merely a means of earning a livelihood.
In a message shared on social media, the Chief Minister emphasized the crucial role played by government employees in serving the people and contributing to the state's development. He noted that the vast government workforce exists primarily to address the needs and aspirations of citizens and to ensure efficient delivery of public services.

Khandu reminded employees that government positions are earned through rigorous competitive examinations and selection processes that require dedication, hard work, and talent. He said those who have secured such positions carry a responsibility to use their abilities for the welfare of society.
According to the Chief Minister, public service should be regarded as a higher calling that goes beyond personal gain. He stressed that government employees should remain focused on making a meaningful impact in the lives of people through sincerity, commitment, and professionalism.
Highlighting the importance of continuous learning and self-improvement, Khandu underscored the need for regular training and capacity-building programmes for government personnel. Such initiatives, he said, can help reorient mindsets, strengthen work ethics, and remind employees of the fundamental purpose of their service.
The Chief Minister also pointed out that periodic training can equip officials with updated skills and knowledge, enabling them to respond more effectively to the evolving needs of citizens and improve the quality of governance.
“We must put our hard work and talent to good use for the people,” Khandu stated, urging employees to remain dedicated to the larger goal of public welfare. He added that the true measure of success in government service lies not in sustaining oneself but in bringing positive change to society.
His remarks come amid the state government's ongoing efforts to improve governance, strengthen public institutions, and enhance service delivery across Arunachal Pradesh through greater accountability, efficiency, and citizen-centric administration.
