Jiribam Hosts Patriotic Events Under Har Ghar Tiranga 2025 Campaign

Jiribam, August 12, 2025: The spirit of patriotism was on full display across Jiribam district on Tuesday as the District Administration organised a series of events under the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga 2025 campaign, encouraging citizens to celebrate the national flag and strengthen the spirit of unity ahead of India's 79th Independence Day.

The day's celebrations began with a grand Tiranga Bike Rally flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, IAS, from Irawat Square. Around 120 riders, comprising personnel from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), district administration, and various government departments, participated in the rally.

Carrying the Indian Tricolour, the participants travelled through different parts of the district, spreading messages of patriotism, national unity, and public participation in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. Residents gathered along the route to cheer the participants, adding to the festive atmosphere in the district.

The celebrations continued with a Tiranga March involving students from Jiri College and Jiribam Higher Secondary School. Holding the national flag and raising patriotic slogans, the students marched through the town, expressing their pride in the nation and promoting awareness about the significance of the Tricolour.

As part of the preparations for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, the District Administration, Police Department, Municipal Council, and several other government departments jointly organised a cleanliness drive at the Jiribam Higher Secondary Ground. Led by Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, officials and staff participated in cleaning the venue to ensure a neat, hygienic, and welcoming environment for the Independence Day programme.

In addition to the patriotic activities, the district administration convened a meeting of the District-level Narcotics Coordination Committee (NCORD) to review security arrangements and law-and-order preparedness ahead of the Independence Day celebrations. The meeting focused on strengthening coordination among various security agencies to ensure peaceful and incident-free celebrations throughout the district.

The day's events concluded with a Full-Dress Rehearsal for the Independence Day parade, showcasing the discipline and preparedness of the participating contingents. A total of 12 marching contingents took part in the rehearsal, including personnel from the CRPF, India Reserve Battalion (IRB), Manipur Police, National Cadet Corps (NCC), students from schools and colleges, and the Assam Rifles Band.

Officials said the successful conduct of the day's programmes reflected the collective efforts of government agencies, educational institutions, security forces, and local residents in promoting national pride and ensuring that the district is fully prepared for the Independence Day celebrations. The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign continues to inspire citizens across the country to proudly display the national flag as a symbol of unity, patriotism, and commitment to the nation's ideals.
