Imphal, August 12, 2025: In a grand show of patriotism and national unity, Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla on Tuesday flagged off a massive bike rally in Imphal under the Har Ghar Tiranga 2025 campaign, encouraging citizens across the state to proudly hoist the National Flag ahead of India's 79th Independence Day celebrations.
The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 1,000 bikers representing various organisations, youth groups, government departments, security personnel, and members of the public. Carrying the Indian Tricolour, the participants rode through the streets of Imphal, spreading messages of patriotism, national unity, and respect for the country's rich democratic and cultural heritage.
The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, launched as part of the nationwide Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative, seeks to strengthen the emotional bond between citizens and the National Flag by encouraging every household to display the Tricolour with pride during the Independence Day celebrations. The campaign has gained widespread public participation across the country and continues to inspire citizens to celebrate the values of freedom, unity, and national identity.
Flagging off the rally, Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla commended the overwhelming response from participants and appreciated the enthusiasm shown by the people of Manipur in supporting the campaign. He said such initiatives play an important role in fostering patriotism, strengthening social harmony, and reinforcing the spirit of national integration among people from all walks of life.
The Governor urged citizens to actively participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign by hoisting the National Flag at their homes, educational institutions, business establishments, and public offices. He emphasised that the Tricolour is a symbol of the sacrifices made by India's freedom fighters and reflects the nation's unity in diversity, democratic values, and collective aspirations.

As the rally passed through major roads in Imphal, participants waved the National Flag and raised patriotic slogans, drawing enthusiastic responses from residents who gathered along the route.
