IMPHAL, August 14, 2025: On the occasion of India’s 79th Independence Day, the Hon’ble Governor of Manipur, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of the state.
In his message, Governor Bhalla reflected on the courage, sacrifices, and unwavering spirit of countless freedom fighters who laid down their lives for India’s freedom. He emphasized that their legacy continues to inspire citizens to uphold the values of democracy, justice, and unity - principles that guide the Republic.
“As we celebrate this national milestone, let us reaffirm our collective resolve to build a progressive, inclusive, and resilient India,” the Governor said.
Highlighting Manipur’s rich cultural heritage and the contributions of its citizens, Governor Bhalla acknowledged the role of service, enterprise, and the arts in driving the state’s and the nation’s growth. He urged all citizens to dedicate themselves to hard work, compassion, and civic responsibility.
“Let us strive to make Manipur a beacon of peace and development,” he added, calling on the people to foster progress and innovation.
