Shillong, Aug 6, 2025: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma reviewed the implementation of the Meghalaya Health Insurance Scheme (MHIS) in a meeting with Health Minister Dr. Ampareen Lyngdoh and senior officials from the Health Department.
During the review, the Chief Minister directed the department to urgently investigate the causes behind payment delays and claim rejections under the scheme. He instructed that corrective measures be taken promptly to ensure MHIS is implemented efficiently, transparently, and in the best interests of every resident of the state.

Sangma stressed the importance of timely and fair delivery of benefits, reaffirming the government’s commitment to making MHIS a reliable safety net for the people of Meghalaya.
