Benjamin Yepthomi Visits Deaf Biblical Ministry Under ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign

Dimapur, August 12, 2025: As part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, BJP Nagaland State President Benjamin Yepthomi, accompanied by party colleagues, visited the Deaf Biblical Ministry in Dimapur, where he spent time interacting with students, faculty members and the institution’s leadership.

The visit was aimed at promoting the spirit of inclusivity, national unity and community engagement while recognizing the contributions of institutions working for the welfare and empowerment of persons with disabilities. During the programme, Yepthomi and his team engaged in fellowship with the students and staff, appreciating the efforts being made to provide faith-based education and support to the hearing-impaired community.

The BJP leader expressed his gratitude to Director Rev. Yanger Walling, the faculty members and the management of the institution for their dedication and commitment to nurturing students through education, spiritual guidance and personal development. He commended the ministry for creating a supportive environment where hearing-impaired individuals can learn, grow and participate meaningfully in society.

Interacting with the students, Yepthomi said he was deeply moved by their warmth, determination and unwavering faith. He noted that the visit served as a reminder of the resilience and strength demonstrated by individuals who overcome challenges through perseverance and community support.

“The warmth, resilience and faith displayed by the students left a profound impact on me. Their spirit is truly inspiring and reflects the power of hope, determination and belief,” he said.

Highlighting the significance of sign language in communicating faith and values, Yepthomi remarked that the message of God transcends spoken words and can be understood through many forms of expression.

“God’s Word is not limited by sound, but is heard and felt in the heart—in every language, including the beautiful language of signs,” he stated.

The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, launched to encourage citizens to celebrate the national flag and strengthen patriotic sentiment, has witnessed widespread participation across the country. Various organizations, institutions and community groups have been organizing activities aimed at promoting national unity and inclusiveness.

During the visit, party members interacted closely with students and observed some of the activities carried out by the ministry. The interaction provided an opportunity to better understand the challenges faced by the hearing-impaired community and the role played by specialized institutions in addressing their educational and social needs.
