Itanagar, August 29, 2025: The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) ushered in a new chapter in the state’s recruitment and examination system with the inauguration of its state-of-the-art new building in Itanagar on Friday. Dedicated to the people of Arunachal Pradesh, the modern facility is expected to significantly enhance the efficiency, transparency and credibility of the public service recruitment process.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu, who attended the inauguration, described the new APPSC building as much more than a physical structure. He said it symbolizes the state’s commitment to ensuring a fair, transparent and merit-based system of recruitment, where every aspirant has an equal opportunity to compete and succeed.
One of the key features of the new facility is its large examination hall, which has a seating capacity of more than 1,600 candidates. The integrated infrastructure will enable the Commission to conduct examinations under a single roof, streamlining administrative processes and improving coordination. Officials noted that centralized exam management would also strengthen surveillance mechanisms, reduce logistical challenges and ensure a more secure and transparent examination environment.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Khandu emphasized that the government remains committed to creating institutions that inspire trust among the public. He stated that recruitment to public services should be based solely on merit, hard work and dedication, free from any form of privilege, bias or favoritism.
“The new APPSC building stands as a symbol of fairness, integrity and opportunity. It reflects our determination to provide every hardworking aspirant with a level playing field and ensure that talent alone determines success,” he said.
The modernized commission is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening governance by facilitating the recruitment of capable and deserving candidates into various government services. Officials believe that the enhanced infrastructure will improve operational efficiency and help the Commission conduct examinations and recruitment processes in a more professional and timely manner.
The inauguration also reflects the state government’s broader vision of empowering youth and creating greater opportunities for employment. By investing in modern infrastructure and transparent systems, Arunachal Pradesh aims to build stronger institutions that can meet the aspirations of its growing population.
With its advanced facilities and focus on merit-based recruitment, the new APPSC building is expected to serve as a landmark institution and a beacon of hope for thousands of aspiring candidates across the state for years to come.
