Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu Meets JK Tyre CMD to Discuss Motorsports and Rubber Plantation

Itanagar, August 26: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu recently held a meeting with Dr. Raghupati Singhania, Chairman and Managing Director of JK Tyre & Industries Ltd., to discuss opportunities for strengthening collaboration in the fields of adventure motor sports and rubber plantation development in the state. The meeting was also attended by HMLA Shri Phurpa Tsering and noted motor sports enthusiast Shri Lhakpa.

The discussions focused on JK Tyre’s long-standing association with Arunachal Pradesh and its continued support for promoting adventure motor sports in the state. Over the years, the company has played a significant role in encouraging motor sports activities, helping to showcase Arunachal Pradesh’s unique terrain and scenic landscapes as ideal destinations for adventure and off-road events.

Chief Minister Khandu expressed his appreciation to JK Tyre for its sustained partnership and contribution to the growth of motor sports in the state. He noted that such initiatives not only promote sports and tourism but also create opportunities for local youth to participate in national-level adventure events and develop their skills in the field.

Motor sports have gained increasing popularity in Arunachal Pradesh due to its rugged mountains, winding roads and breathtaking natural beauty, making the state a preferred destination for rallies and adventure expeditions. The Chief Minister highlighted the potential of the sector to boost tourism and generate economic opportunities for local communities.

Apart from motor sports, the meeting also explored the prospects of expanding rubber plantation activities in Arunachal Pradesh. As the largest state in the Northeast by geographical area, Arunachal possesses vast tracts of land suitable for agricultural diversification.
