In a press release issued by the Indian Oil AOD State Office, Imphal, the company clarified that the supply of fuel and cooking gas is being maintained regularly across Manipur despite public concerns over availability. It urged consumers to remain calm and cooperate with distributors to ensure the smooth and equitable distribution of essential petroleum products.

The company specifically advised motorists against purchasing petrol or diesel in loose containers such as jerrycans, barrels, or other storage vessels, stating that such practices could lead to unnecessary panic buying and disrupt the normal supply chain. Consumers were encouraged to purchase fuel only according to their genuine requirements.

Indian Oil also appealed to Indane LPG customers not to engage in panic booking or stockpiling of domestic gas cylinders. The company assured consumers that adequate stocks of LPG are available and that regular deliveries are continuing without interruption. Customers were urged to rely only on official announcements and avoid circulating or believing unverified information that could create confusion.

To make the refill process more convenient, Indian Oil encouraged consumers to continue using its digital booking services. Customers can book LPG refills through multiple channels, including missed-call services, SMS, Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS), WhatsApp, the Indane mobile application, and online payment platforms. The company said these digital facilities are designed to ensure quick and hassle-free access to LPG services.

The clarification was issued by Rajkumar Mohen Singh, State Level Coordinator of the Oil Industry in Manipur, who reiterated that all petroleum companies are working together to maintain uninterrupted supplies throughout the state.

The advisory comes amid public apprehension over fuel availability, with authorities seeking to prevent panic buying and ensure the orderly distribution of essential commodities. Indian Oil assured the public that it continues to monitor the situation closely and remains committed to maintaining a stable supply of LPG, petrol, and diesel to meet the needs of consumers across Manipur.
