Officials said the vehicles would be deployed across different police units and districts to improve field operations, strengthen communication and ensure better access to remote and sensitive areas.
The induction of the new vehicles comes at a time when Manipur continues to face security and law-and-order challenges in the aftermath of the ethnic violence that erupted in the state in 2023. Authorities believe that improving police infrastructure and mobility will play a key role in enhancing public confidence and ensuring quicker response during emergencies.
Senior police officials present at the event reaffirmed the department’s commitment to serving and protecting the people of Manipur while maintaining peace, stability and public order across the state.
