Dimapur, may 15: The Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Atria Institute of Technology to promote academic cooperation, skill development initiatives and scholarship opportunities for students from Nagaland.
The agreement was signed during the fourth edition of “EduConnect: Connecting Education to Opportunities” held at the Integrated Business Hub and Innovation Centre in Dimapur.
Under the MoU, the Atria–IT Scholarship Programme will be implemented through IDAN under the Future Achievers Scholarship Programme. Scholarships will be awarded to meritorious students based on academic performance and potential, while selected students will be monitored regularly after admission to ensure academic progress and attendance.
Speaking at the event, Adviser to Chief Minister and Investment & Development Authority Chairman Abu Metha said education remains the foundation of success and a powerful tool for transformation. He encouraged students to continuously pursue knowledge and adapt to the fast-changing digital world in order to remain competitive and empowered.
Metha also urged students to make positive use of social media and modern technology to showcase their talents and abilities globally.
In a message shared during the launch of EduConnect 2026, he said the initiative was aimed at creating new pathways for students to pursue higher education in reputed colleges and universities. He added that the programme includes career counselling, scholarships, admission support, fee discounts and other assistance mechanisms designed for the student community.
“We remain committed to making every possible effort to give wings to our youth — to make their aspirations and dreams a collective responsibility, and to empower them to pursue their passions with confidence and purpose,” Metha stated.
Additional Secretary (Finance and IDAN) Vineet Kumar said EduConnect seeks to open opportunities for students in shaping their future careers and urged them to make informed academic and professional decisions.
