Party leaders further stated that the organisation has been witnessing growing support at the grassroots level and expressed optimism that voters in Wokha would continue backing the BJP’s vision of progress, transparency, and inclusive growth.
The Wokha Town Council by-election is expected to witness active campaigning in the coming days as political parties intensify outreach efforts ahead of polling.
The Urban Local Body elections in Nagaland have gained political significance in recent years following the implementation of the Nagaland Municipal Act, 2023, which paved the way for civic body elections across the state. The 2024 ULB polls were also the first in Nagaland to include 33 percent reservation for women in municipal bodies.
