Imphal, April 25, 2026: Manipur Police and security forces have arrested four individuals and seized large quantities of narcotics, arms, and explosives in separate operations across Churachandpur and Chandel districts.

According to Manipur Police, on April 23, security forces arrested three individuals from Bolkot under Singngat Police Station in Churachandpur district. The arrested persons were identified as Nengmuanlal and Ginlamthang Guite, both residents of M Buangmun village in Singngat, and Hangkhanlian, a resident of Chakarpur in Gurgaon, Haryana.
During the operation, security forces seized 474 soap cases of heroin weighing around 5.43 kg along with one four-wheeler allegedly used for transportation.
In another operation on April 20, police arrested Samuel Guite (28) from Saidan village under Churachandpur Police Station. From his residence, officers recovered 12 bags of suspected raw opium weighing about 11.7 kg, along with a mobile handset and a digital weighing machine.

Meanwhile, on April 24, security forces recovered a cache of weapons and communication equipment from the general area of Khumkot village under Molcham Police Station in Chandel district. The seized items included four single-bore rifles, four Pompis, seven Pompi shells, three grenades with a detonator, and five Baofeng radio sets with chargers.
Authorities said further investigations are underway to determine the networks involved in the narcotics trafficking and illegal arms activities.
