Addressing supporters through a Facebook Live session, Debbarma urged party workers to keep the upcoming MDC swearing-in ceremony simple and cost-effective at Kumarghat. He said the selection of the Chief Executive Member (CEM) and Chairman of the council would be finalized after consultations with elected members and party leaders.
Highlighting the need for transparency, Debbarma announced a new recruitment policy for the council that would require public advertisements and interviews conducted by an independent board. He added that ongoing appointments have been temporarily put on hold after concerns were raised on social media, assuring that the recruitment system would be cleaned up.
Drawing attention to grassroots issues, the TIPRA Motha leader recalled visiting a Bru village, where a child asked for drinking water, underscoring the urgent need to improve basic amenities in tribal areas.
Debbarma also promised a comprehensive education reform, saying the council is preparing a draft education policy aimed at ensuring quality education for tribal students. He cited difficult conditions faced by many students in TTAADC areas, including children walking barefoot and attending schools with inadequate teachers.
According to the Tripura education department, 340 schools with only a single teacher were functioning in TTAADC areas as of September 2025, highlighting the challenges faced by the tribal education sector.
To support aspiring students, Debbarma announced plans to establish a coaching centre at Khumulwng, the headquarters of TTAADC, to help candidates prepare for UPSC and state civil services examinations.
He further said the council would work to improve drinking water access in tribal hamlets, while also creating employment opportunities through a fair recruitment system ensuring equal opportunity for job aspirants.

The TIPRA Motha chief also proposed the creation of a modern sports coaching centre at Khumulwng to promote sports among tribal youth.
Additionally, Debbarma suggested introducing a governance model called “Cabinet on the Move,” where the CEM and Executive Members would hold meetings across different districts with officials and local residents. The initiative aims to ensure that policymakers directly witness ground realities beyond the council headquarters and improve administrative outreach in tribal areas.
He also proposed setting up mini secretariats in zonal offices to strengthen local governance and administrative accessibility within TTAADC regions.
