Addressing the media in his office chamber, the minister said that out of 18,257 students who appeared for the examination, 80.31% successfully passed, marking an improvement over last year’s overall pass percentage.

He also highlighted notable progress among government schools. While government schools recorded a 68.01% pass rate last year, the figure rose to 72.07% this year. The minister noted that no government school recorded a zero-pass result this year, and 21 government schools achieved a 100% pass rate, reflecting growing confidence in government-run institutions.

Dr. Vanlalthlana said the improved results demonstrate that students and parents increasingly view government schools as reliable institutions for quality education.

The minister further explained that this year’s result format differs from previous years, with top ten rankings and divisions not being publicly listed. However, students can check their individual marks and percentages on the MBSE website, a system already followed by several other education boards.

Congratulating all successful students, the minister wished them continued success in their future academic pursuits. He also encouraged those who did not pass to remain determined and work harder for better results.

Dr. Vanlalthlana expressed gratitude to MBSE officials, teachers, parents, and all stakeholders who contributed to the smooth conduct of the examination and timely declaration of the results, urging continued collective efforts to strengthen Mizoram’s education sector.
