Mizoram Board Announces HSSLC 2026 Results with 87.67% Pass Rate

Aizawl, April 29, 2026: The Mizoram Board of School Education has declared the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Examination 2026 results, recording an overall pass percentage of 87.67 percent, an increase of 6.57 percent compared to last year.

According to the board, 12,399 candidates were registered for the examination, out of which 12,243 appeared while 156 candidates were absent. A total of 10,734 students successfully passed the examination.

Stream-wise, 8,714 students appeared in Arts, 2,770 in Science, and 759 in Commerce.

J.H. Zoremthanga, Chairman of the Mizoram Board of School Education, expressed gratitude for the successful declaration of the results and appreciated the efforts and cooperation of all officials and stakeholders involved in conducting the examinations smoothly. He also stated that arrangements would be made soon for compartment examinations to ensure that students seeking admission do not face difficulties.

According to MBSE, the highest marks recorded were 466 in Arts, 462 in Science, and 463 in Commerce.

The board also reported that 64 schools in Arts, 14 in Science, and 16 in Commerce achieved 100 percent pass results, while one school in the Arts stream recorded zero pass, with no such cases reported in Science or Commerce.

District-wise, Serchhip district recorded the highest pass percentage in Arts at 91.86 percent, Kolasib district topped Science with 94.59 percent, and Hnahthial district achieved a perfect 100 percent pass rate in Commerce.

MBSE further informed that 115 candidates have been placed in the compartment category, and students may submit complaints regarding the results within seven days from the date of declaration.
