Shillong, April 11: Sanjay Jaju, Secretary of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER), is on a two-day visit to Meghalaya to review development initiatives and strengthen coordination between the Centre and the state.

During his visit, Jaju held a meeting with the Chief Secretary of Meghalaya and other senior government officials to assess the progress of key development initiatives supported by MDoNER and discuss strategies for accelerating regional development.
The Secretary, accompanied by the Joint Secretary of MDoNER and senior officials from the Government of Meghalaya, also visited projects under the Prime Minister’s Development Initiative for North East Region (PM-DevINE) in New Shillong Township.
The delegation inspected major infrastructure works, including the construction of a new four-lane road and the proposed Unity Mall at Umsawli.
Officials said the visit aims to ensure timely implementation of key projects and promote coordinated efforts to boost infrastructure and economic growth in the northeastern region.
