Imphal, April 28, 2026: Govindas Konthoujam, Manipur Home Minister, chaired a review meeting on state border fencing and related matters to strengthen security and development in border areas of the state.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Commissioners of Ukhrul District, Tengnoupal District, Chandel District and Churachandpur District, along with senior officials from various departments.
Officials from the Manipur Home Department, the Border Roads Task Force and the Assam Rifles also participated in the meeting.

During the review, discussions focused on strengthening border security, improving coordination among agencies, and expediting developmental and infrastructure works in border regions.
The Home Minister emphasized the importance of collective efforts to ensure peace, security and overall development in Manipur’s border areas.
