Imphal, April 24: The Government of Manipur has declared all Saturdays as working days for government offices across the state as a temporary administrative measure.

According to a notification issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) on April 24, the order will apply to all government offices, autonomous bodies, institutions, corporations, societies, boards, and public sector undertakings in the state.
The notification stated that Saturdays will remain working days except those falling on general holidays, and the decision will remain in force until further orders.

The order was issued with the approval of the competent authority and signed by Joint Secretary Thokchom Bedajit on behalf of the Governor of Manipur.
Officials said the move is intended as a temporary step to ensure smoother functioning of government work and administrative efficiency in the state.
