Imphal, April 24: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Friday said the state government will take steps to strengthen museum development following an expert presentation at the Secretariat.

The presentation was delivered by former Culture Secretary of the Government of India Raghvendra Singh in the presence of Puneet Kumar Goel and Additional Chief Secretary Anurag Bajpai.
According to the Chief Minister, the discussion provided valuable insights and recommendations aimed at strengthening the development and management of museums in the state.
A major focus of the presentation was the long-pending upgradation of the Manipur State Museum, with proposals outlining measures to modernise the facility and bring it in line with contemporary museum standards.
Khemchand said the government remains committed to preserving and promoting Manipur’s rich cultural heritage while ensuring that institutions like the State Museum are maintained and developed with the highest standards of care.
