Imphal, April 22: Ajay Kumar Bhalla, who also serves as the State President of the Indian Red Cross Society Manipur State Branch, chaired the Annual General Body Meeting of the organisation at Lok Bhavan on Wednesday.

The meeting discussed several administrative and financial matters, with a major agenda focusing on the constitution of the Management Committee for the 2026–2029 term.
At the beginning of the meeting, members observed a one-minute silence to honour individuals who had passed away while serving the organisation.
Senior members of the IRCS, along with representatives from district branches across Manipur, participated in the meeting and reviewed the activities of the state branch.

During the session, the Governor appreciated the dedicated humanitarian work carried out by the Manipur State Branch of the Red Cross, particularly during difficult times in the state.
He also encouraged members to continue their humanitarian services with renewed commitment and strengthen the organisation’s efforts in supporting communities across Manipur.
