The meeting brought together senior office bearers of the Manipur State Branch, representatives from district branches across the state, and other members of the organisation. Discussions focused on strengthening the functioning of the society and enhancing its humanitarian outreach in communities across Manipur.

A major agenda of the meeting was the constitution of the Management Committee for the 2026–2029 term, which will oversee the administration and future programmes of the Manipur State Branch. Members also deliberated on various administrative and financial matters aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation's operations.

At the outset of the meeting, members observed a one-minute silence in memory of individuals who had passed away while serving the Indian Red Cross Society. The gathering paid tribute to their dedicated service and valuable contributions toward humanitarian causes in the state.

During the session, the Governor reviewed the activities undertaken by the Manipur State Branch and its district units over the past year. He appreciated the commitment and selfless efforts of Red Cross volunteers and officials, particularly for their humanitarian work during difficult periods when communities across the state required emergency assistance, relief, healthcare support, and other essential services.

Bhalla acknowledged the important role played by the Indian Red Cross Society in promoting humanitarian values, disaster response, health awareness, blood donation campaigns, and community welfare programmes. He encouraged members to continue serving society with dedication, compassion, and renewed commitment.

The Governor also stressed the need to strengthen coordination among district branches, expand volunteer participation, and enhance the organisation's capacity to respond effectively during emergencies and natural disasters. He expressed confidence that the newly constituted Management Committee would further strengthen the Red Cross movement in Manipur and enable the organisation to reach more vulnerable communities with timely humanitarian assistance and relief initiatives.
