Imphal, April 11: Manipur CM Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Saturday paid floral tributes to the mortal remains of BSF Constable Mithun Mandal at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport in the presence of dignitaries.

Constable Mandal lost his life in the line of duty in Ukhrul district, making the supreme sacrifice while serving the nation. The solemn homage ceremony honoured his courage, dedication, and commitment to safeguarding the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Khemchand said the sacrifice of the BSF jawan reflects the indomitable spirit of India’s security forces and strengthens the foundation of the nation.
He also expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and assured that the people of Manipur stand in solidarity with them during this difficult time.
The state paid its respects to the fallen soldier, acknowledging that his bravery and devotion to duty will continue to inspire future generations.
