Aizawl, April 22: Mizoram Governor Vijay Kumar Singh attended the Youth Festival Univoyage 2026 held at the campus of ICFAI University Mizoram in Durtlang North, Aizawl on Tuesday.

The festival was jointly organised by ICFAI University Mizoram and the Tourism Department Mizoram, bringing together students and young participants for learning, interaction and cultural engagement.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor appreciated the initiative and described the festival as an important platform for motivating youth and providing valuable learning opportunities. He emphasised that such events help shape the future of young people and strengthen their skills.
Singh highlighted the importance of skill development and upskilling for improving employability and creating job opportunities. He noted that learning through interaction and participation in such events can significantly benefit students.

Speaking on the tourism potential of Mizoram, the Governor said the state already has several advantages, including its pleasant climate, scenic landscapes and clean environment. He added that improved facilities and a welcoming environment for visitors could attract more tourists to the state.
The Governor also stressed the need to promote eco-friendly tourism while maintaining harmony with nature. Encouraging young people to participate actively, he expressed hope that the festival would bring positive outcomes for the youth and contribute to the development of Mizoram.
