Itanagar, April 29, 2026: Pema Khandu, Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, has appreciated the successful inauguration of the divergence tunnels at the Dibang Multipurpose Project, calling it a major milestone that will significantly accelerate dam construction and the overall execution of the project.

The Chief Minister lauded the exemplary coordination between NHPC Limited and Larsen & Toubro, stating that the teams delivered the critical infrastructure under extremely challenging terrain and harsh working conditions with remarkable efficiency and dedication.
Khandu said the successful completion and inauguration of the divergence tunnels mark an important step forward in the progress of the Dibang Multipurpose Project, which is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening power generation capacity and improving flood control in the region.
