During the review, the Chief Minister examined the status of road development projects being implemented in different parts of Manipur and received updates from MLAs regarding the progress of works in their respective constituencies. The discussions also covered challenges faced during implementation and measures required to ensure timely completion without compromising construction quality.
Khemchand Singh emphasised that completing the projects before the arrival of the monsoon is crucial to avoid weather-related delays and minimise inconvenience to the public. He directed the concerned departments and executing agencies to intensify construction activities, maintain strict supervision, and ensure adherence to prescribed engineering standards throughout the execution of the projects.
The Chief Minister noted that a significant portion of the concrete pavement works has already reached the final stages of completion, with several stretches already open to traffic. He observed that commuters have begun experiencing the benefits of smoother and safer roads, while the remaining finishing works are expected to be completed within the scheduled timeframe.
According to the Chief Minister, the newly concreted roads will substantially improve connectivity across Manipur by facilitating faster and more efficient movement of people and goods. Better road infrastructure, he said, would also reduce travel time, improve road safety, and lower long-term maintenance requirements compared to conventional road surfaces.

He added that quality infrastructure remains one of the key pillars of the government's development agenda.
Reaffirming the State Government's commitment to infrastructure-led growth, the Chief Minister urged all stakeholders to work in close coordination to ensure that the projects are completed on schedule, thereby contributing to inclusive development and long-term economic progress throughout Manipur.
