Nongstoin, April 15: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Wednesday inaugurated the newly constructed Multipurpose Hall-cum-Dorbar Hall of the Dorbar Shnong New Nongstoin in West Khasi Hills district.
Speaking at the event, Sangma said the hall reflects the strength of community participation and cooperation between local residents and elected representatives. He noted that such collaborative efforts help create meaningful infrastructure that benefits the entire community.
Congratulating the Dorbar Shnong of New Nongstoin, the Chief Minister expressed hope that the new facility would serve as a vibrant space for gatherings, meetings and social activities that strengthen community bonds.

Earlier in the day, Sangma also visited the bustling Ïew Nongstoin market in Nongstoin, where he interacted with residents and vendors. The Chief Minister expressed happiness at returning to the town and meeting the people of the district.
