Itanagar, April 16: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has announced the launch of “The Platform 3.0,” a major youth-centric initiative aimed at fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, skill development, and self-employment opportunities across the state.
Scheduled to be held on April 17 and 18, 2026, at the State Banquet Hall in Itanagar, the two-day event will be organized under the theme “Innovation, Skilling & Empowering with AI.” The programme seeks to equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and exposure needed to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.
Announcing the initiative, Chief Minister Khandu described “The Platform 3.0” as a dynamic convergence of opportunities designed to inspire and empower the youth of Arunachal Pradesh. He said the event aligns with the state government's vision of building an Atmanirbhar Arunachal by encouraging innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihood generation among young people.
The event is being organized by the Arunachal Photography Club with support from the Department of Youth Affairs, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, under the state's Mission Youth initiative. It aims to bring together a diverse range of participants, including young entrepreneurs, startup founders, artisans, filmmakers, industry professionals, technology experts, and aspiring youth from different parts of the state.

Organizers said the platform will provide participants with opportunities to interact with experts, explore emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), showcase innovative ideas and products, and learn about entrepreneurship, digital skills, and career development. Discussions, exhibitions, networking sessions, and interactive workshops are expected to be key highlights of the programme.
Khandu emphasized that empowering youth through innovation and skill development is essential for the state's long-term growth and prosperity. He encouraged young people to actively participate in the event, explore new possibilities, and seize opportunities that can help them build successful careers and enterprises.
Officials believe that “The Platform 3.0” will serve as an important catalyst for nurturing talent, promoting creativity, and creating a vibrant ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship in Arunachal Pradesh, while preparing the state's youth for the opportunities and challenges of the future.
