Imphal, March 1: Manipur Police and security forces have arrested three active militant cadres in separate operations conducted across Imphal East, Imphal West, and Thoubal districts over the past two days.

On March 1, security forces apprehended Khundrakpam Anilkumar Singh alias Manganglakpa (21), an active cadre of PREPAK, from Phaknung Awang Leikai under Lamlai Police Station in Imphal East district. A mobile phone was seized from his possession.
Earlier on February 28, an active cadre of KYKL, identified as Ibungomacha Laishram alias Rocky alias Ibomcha (43), was arrested from Yairipok Lamkhai area under Thoubal district. He is a resident of Gaili village in Peren, Nagaland, presently staying at Singjamei Yumnam Leikai in Imphal West. A mobile phone along with a SIM card was recovered from him.

In another operation on the same day, security forces arrested Khaidem Narendra Singh alias Angou alias Maikeingakpa (29), an active cadre of PREPAK (PRO), from his residence at Wangoi Khaidem Leikai under Wangoi Police Station in Imphal West district. A 9 mm pistol with magazine, four rounds of 9 mm ammunition, and a mobile phone with SIM card were seized during the operation.
