Itanagar, March 01: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu held an important meeting with Dr. C. M. Ramesh, Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways, to review the progress of railway infrastructure projects and discuss strategies to strengthen rail connectivity across the state.

The meeting focused on accelerating the implementation of ongoing railway projects that are expected to play a crucial role in improving transportation, enhancing regional integration, and supporting economic development in Arunachal Pradesh. Senior officials also participated in the discussions, which emphasized the need for closer coordination between the state government and railway authorities to ensure timely execution of priority projects.
During the interaction, both leaders highlighted the importance of expanding railway infrastructure in a geographically challenging state like Arunachal Pradesh. Improved rail connectivity is expected to provide easier access to remote areas, facilitate the movement of people and goods, and contribute significantly to the state's socio-economic growth.
Chief Minister Khandu stressed that modern and efficient transportation networks are essential for inclusive development. He noted that railway expansion would not only improve mobility for residents but also open new opportunities for trade, tourism, investment, and employment. Enhanced connectivity, he said, would help integrate Arunachal Pradesh more closely with the rest of the country while boosting development in border and rural regions.
