Itanagar, February 25, 2026: West Kameng’s Lhakpa Tsering was crowned Mr Arunachal 2026 at the grand finale of the 8th edition of the state’s premier male pageant held at DK Convention Hall.

In a closely contested event, Nabam Tada secured the 1st Runner-Up position, while Vivek Sangcho was declared the 2nd Runner-Up.
The event was graced by Sports & Youth Affairs Minister Kento Jini as Chief Guest, while Itanagar Municipal Corporation Mayor Likha Nari Tadar attended as Guest of Honour. The competition was judged by designer Boney Darang Nyickyor, DIPRO Yupia Ramar Jokik, and Associate Professor at NERIST Dr Nabam Teyi.
A civil engineering graduate from Senge Dzong village and belonging to the Monpa tribe, Lhakpa Tsering made history by becoming the first contestant from West Kameng district to win the prestigious title. His victory has brought pride to the district and is expected to inspire young aspirants across Arunachal Pradesh.
