Tripura CM Urges Youth to Act as Ambassadors of ‘Viksit Bharat’ at Yuva Sammelan

Agartala, February 7: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Friday emphasized the crucial role of young people in shaping the future of the nation and called upon them to become active ambassadors of the vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047”, a developed India envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He made the remarks while addressing a Yuva Sammelan on the Union Budget at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Town Hall in Agartala.

The programme, organized by the Tripura Pradesh Yuva Morcha, brought together party workers, youth leaders and karyakartas from different parts of the state. The event focused on discussing the provisions of the Union Budget and highlighting the role of youth in achieving the country’s long-term development goals.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Saha said that India’s youth constitute one of the nation’s greatest strengths and have a vital responsibility in transforming the vision of a developed nation into reality. He noted that the energy, creativity and dedication of young people can play a decisive role in accelerating social, economic and technological progress.

“Today's Yuva Shakti has an important responsibility. The dream of Viksit Bharat by 2047 can only be realised through the active participation, commitment and leadership of our youth,” the Chief Minister said.

He urged members of the Yuva Morcha to understand the objectives and benefits of the Union Budget and communicate them effectively at the grassroots level. According to him, young political workers can act as a bridge between government policies and the people by spreading awareness and helping citizens understand the opportunities created through various developmental initiatives.

Dr. Saha stated that the Union Budget reflects the broader goal of building a developed and self-reliant India. He said the budget places strong emphasis on economic growth, employment generation, infrastructure development, innovation and social welfare, all of which are critical for improving the quality of life of citizens.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the budget includes measures aimed at empowering young people through education, skill development, entrepreneurship and employment opportunities. He noted that investments in these sectors would help prepare the next generation to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing global economy.

“Development is not possible without the participation of youth. They must understand the policies, engage with society and contribute actively to nation-building,” he said.

Dr. Saha also stressed the importance of awareness and grassroots engagement in ensuring the successful implementation of development programmes. He encouraged participants to interact with communities, explain government initiatives and help people access the benefits of various welfare schemes.

Referring to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, the Chief Minister said it is not merely a government programme but a national mission that requires collective participation from all sections of society. He added that young people have a unique opportunity to shape the country's future and contribute to building a prosperous, inclusive and technologically advanced India.

Leaders of the Yuva Morcha highlighted the importance of youth engagement in democratic processes and emphasized the need to empower young citizens through education, leadership training and civic participation. The Chief Minister concluded by expressing confidence in the potential of Tripura's youth to contribute meaningfully to the state's progress as well as the nation's development. He urged them to work with dedication, discipline and a sense of responsibility to help realise the goal of a developed India by 2047.
