Agartala, February 7: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Thursday chaired a review meeting at the State Secretariat to assess measures for managing stray dogs and other stray animals on roads, with a focus on public safety and animal welfare.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed existing mechanisms and discussed the need for coordinated action among concerned departments to address the growing issue of stray animals posing risks to commuters and pedestrians. Emphasis was laid on adopting humane and sustainable solutions that balance public safety with the welfare of animals.

Chief Minister Saha underscored the importance of effective coordination between civic bodies, animal husbandry authorities, and other stakeholders to implement preventive and corrective measures. The meeting reflects the state government’s commitment to addressing public safety concerns while upholding ethical standards of animal care through coordinated and well-planned interventions.
