Mahendraganj/Merengipara, February 7: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Friday laid the foundation stone for a 10-bedded Integrated AYUSH Hospital at Merengipara in South West Garo Hills, marking a significant step towards expanding holistic healthcare services in the region.

The Chief Minister said the upcoming AYUSH hospital would be a transformative healthcare project, aimed at promoting lifestyle-related treatments and wellness. Unlike conventional hospitals, the facility will focus on systems such as Ayurveda, Homeopathy, and traditional medical knowledge, offering people a wider range of healthcare choices in the years ahead.
Highlighting visible development in Mahendraganj, Sangma appreciated the proactive role of the local MLA, noting that development works are being personally monitored with commitment and a people-first approach. He said such hands-on leadership was key to ensuring timely and meaningful progress on the ground.
