Sky Walk, Roller Coaster and Tourism Complex Inaugurated at Acheso in Dibang Valley

Dibang Valley, February 01:  Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Sunday inaugurated a series of landmark tourism projects at Acheso (Dambuen) near the scenic Matu Waterfall, marking a major boost to tourism infrastructure in Dibang Valley.

The Chief Minister formally inaugurated the Sky Walk, Roller Coaster, and a newly developed Tourism Complex at Acheso, describing the occasion as a “landmark day for tourism in Dibang Valley.” He said the projects position Acheso as a new destination ready to welcome visitors from across the country and beyond.

“These tourism assets will offer unique, safe and exciting recreational experiences while creating fresh livelihood opportunities for local communities,” Khandu said. Emphasising sustainable development, he noted that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to promoting eco-friendly tourism without compromising the region’s rich natural and cultural heritage.

Set amid the pristine landscapes of Dibang Valley, the newly inaugurated facilities are expected to significantly enhance visitor footfall and encourage community participation in tourism-related activities, contributing to inclusive growth and long-term development of the region.

Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein and Member of Parliament Tapir Gao were also present at the inauguration ceremony, along with senior officials and local representatives.

The state government said the Acheso tourism project is part of its broader strategy to unlock the tourism potential of remote regions, strengthen local economies, and showcase Arunachal Pradesh’s diverse landscapes to the world.
