Kohima, February 3: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Tuesday called on Shri Nitin Nabin, the newly appointed President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, and extended his congratulations on the assumption of office.

In a post shared on social media, Rio said it was a pleasure to meet the new BJP president and conveyed his best wishes for a successful tenure ahead.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Shri Yanthungo Patton, Naga People’s Front Secretary General and MLA Shri Achumbemo Kikon, Adviser to the Chief Minister Shri Abu Metha, and PRO to the Chief Minister Shri Rusemtong Longkumer.
The meeting is seen as part of ongoing political engagement between Nagaland’s leadership and the central leadership of the BJP.
