Shillong, February 6: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Thursday interacted with citizens from diverse walks of life during a Pre-Budget Consultation held at Ward’s Lake in Shillong.

The consultation aimed at gathering suggestions and ideas from the public to help shape the upcoming state budget. Speaking on the occasion, Sangma said the government is committed to making the budget a truly people-centric exercise, with direct inputs from citizens playing a vital role in aligning policies with public aspirations.
The Chief Minister noted that feedback received during the interaction would contribute to defining the government’s priorities and mission for the year ahead. He thanked participants for taking time to share constructive and positive suggestions, describing the engagement as an important step towards participatory governance.
