Imphal, February 24, 2026: Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla on Tuesday visited Churachandpur district to pay his last respects to the mortal remains of BJP MLA Vungzagin Valte.
According to a statement issued by Lok Bhavan Manipur, the Governor laid a wreath and offered a shawl in solemn remembrance of the departed leader at his residence. He also met the bereaved family members and conveyed his heartfelt condolences during their moment of profound grief.
Governor Bhalla prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed hope that the family would find strength and courage to bear the irreparable loss.

Security Advisor Kuldiep Singh also paid tribute by laying a wreath and offering a shawl as a mark of respect.
The visit underscored the state’s solidarity with the grieving family as tributes poured in for the late legislator.
