New Delhi, February 24: A three-member delegation of the Government of Manipur, led by Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh, called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Prime Minister’s Office, Seva Teerth, New Delhi, on Tuesday.

The delegation included Deputy Chief Ministers Nemcha Kipgen and Losii Dikho.
This marked the first meeting between the Chief Minister and the Prime Minister since Khemchand Singh assumed office on February 4.
During the interaction, the Chief Minister briefed the Prime Minister on steps taken by the new state government to restore peace and harmony in Manipur. He also urged special attention towards women empowerment initiatives in both the hill and valley regions of the state.

The Chief Minister and the two Deputy Chief Ministers extended a formal invitation to the Prime Minister to visit Manipur.
The meeting is seen as a significant step in strengthening coordination between the Centre and the newly formed state government.
