Kakching, February 18: The Zonal Education Office, Kakching, under the Directorate of Education (Schools), Government of Manipur, organised a District-Level Science Quiz Contest 2026 on the theme “Fostering Public Trust in Science” on February 18 at the Library and Information Centre, Kakching.

The quiz competition was conducted for students of Classes IX to XII, aiming to encourage scientific thinking and awareness among young learners.
Smt. Kh. Binodini Devi (Manipur Education Service), District Inspector of Schools, Zonal Education Office, Kakching, graced the programme as Chief Guest, while Shri M. Rakhesh Singh (Manipur Education Service), Zonal Education Officer, Kakching, presided over the event.

The quiz was conducted by Shri Ksh. Joykumar Singh, Assistant Professor, KMC, as Quizmaster, with Shri Y. Lokendro Singh, Assistant Inspector of Schools, serving as Science Expert.
The programme concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners. Officials stated that the initiative reflects the Government of Manipur’s continued commitment to fostering scientific temperament and building public trust in science among students.
