Certificates were presented by Temsunaro Aier, IAS, Development Commissioner, who attended the valedictory programme as the Special Guest. In her address, she appreciated the support extended by the Nagaland Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM) towards the initiative and lauded the trainers for maintaining high standards of professionalism and dedication.
Emphasising the growing relevance of emerging technologies, she described drone operations as a vital 21st-century skill with wide applications in governance, planning, disaster response and development. She encouraged trainees to remain future-ready, continuously upgrade their skills and consider enrolling in the DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) training at the Centre to enhance their career prospects.
Highlighting the Union Budget’s focus on strengthening manufacturing and assembly of equipment and machine components, she urged participants to explore opportunities in indigenous manufacturing aligned with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. She also noted that academic qualifications alone may not ensure sustainable employment, underscoring the importance of skill-based education.
The trainees expressed positive feedback on the course structure, practical exposure and overall learning experience, and showed interest in pursuing advanced programmes. The Development Commissioner also announced the introduction of two specialised non-DGCA courses - Drone Cinematography and Drone GIS Mapping & Survey - tailored to state-specific needs.
