New Delhi, February 18: Meghalaya made a strong impression at the India AI Impact Conference held at Bharat Mandapam, one of the world’s largest gatherings focused on Artificial Intelligence.

Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma expressed pride in witnessing the state “shine bright” at the global summit, where the Meghalaya Pavilion showcased the state’s innovation, ambition, and technological potential.

The pavilion featured participation from the IT & Communications Department, Government of Meghalaya, State GIS & UAV Centre (MBDA), Climate Change Centre (MBDA), Sirobilt, Shamrock AI, Ruralnomics (PRIME Startup), Edviseme (PRIME Startup), and USTM Meghalaya. Together, they demonstrated how AI-driven solutions can transform governance, climate action, rural economies, education, and entrepreneurship.

Sangma described the participation as more than symbolic, calling it “leadership from the Northeast in the AI revolution.”

He also congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the success of the summit and thanked Union Minister for Electronics and IT Ashwini Vaishnaw for providing the platform to showcase Meghalaya’s advancements in artificial intelligence.
