The protest march resumed from Longnit and later reached Manja Town. The agitation, which began from Parokhua, has been progressing through village roads after police restrictions prevented the protesters from using the National Highway. Over the past few days, the march has passed through several areas, including Dokmoka, Phuloni, Bokolia, Silbheta and Longnit, before advancing towards Manja.
Leaders of the ASDC Youth Front and KSA said the continued march reflects the collective aspirations of the people of Karbi Anglong for greater political autonomy. They urged the Central Government to initiate dialogue at the earliest to address the issue, which they said has remained unresolved for decades.
Despite restrictions and the physical strain of the prolonged march, the protesters maintained a peaceful and disciplined approach throughout the agitation. Organisers emphasised that their movement is democratic in nature and aimed at drawing the attention of the Centre to the demand for an Autonomous State through constructive engagement.
The protestors reiterated that meaningful talks with the Ministry of Home Affairs are essential to resolving the issue and ensuring lasting peace and development in the region.
